God’s Promise – Eternal Life

God did not promise man that they would not have problems, sicknesses, getting old and die in this world, however, He did promise His true believers Eternal Life:

“However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.  For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do what I want.  And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them to eternal life at the last day.  For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life – that I should raise them at the last day.” (John 6:37-40 NLT)

“For people can’t come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them from the dead.” (John 6:44 NLT)

In fact, the above two segments in the Bible are the fulfillment of God’s promise to His Selected people before Jesus came down from heaven.   They also formed the “Center” and “the Most Important Verses” of the entire Bible (the Words of God).  In the Old Testament, God said:

“When I bring them home from the lands of their enemies, my holiness will be displayed to the nations.  Then my people will know that I am the Lord their God – responsible for sending them away to exile and responsible for bringing them home.  I will leave none of my people behind.” (Ezekiel 39:28 NLT)

The true Spiritual Food God gives man when Jesus said:

Yes, I am the bread of life!  Your ancestors ate manna in the wilderness, but they all died.  However, the bread from heaven gives eternal life to everyone who eats it.  I am the living bread that came down out of heaven.  Anyone who eats this bread will live forever, this bread is my flesh, offered so the world may live.” (John 6:48-51 NLT)

“So Jesus said again, ‘I assure you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you.  But those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them at the last day.  For my flesh is the true food, and my blood is the true drink.  All who eat my flesh and drink my blood remain in me, and I in them.’” (John 6:53-56)

What is the real meaning of Spiritual Food or the Flesh and Blood of Jesus?

Answer:  Jesus is the Word of God (see John 1:1-3, Revelation 19:13).  The Bread from Heaven is the Words of God spoken by Jesus and it is also the Flesh of Jesus.  The Blood of Jesus stands for Sins Forgiven through Repentance so that man can be made Holy.  Without being Holy, no man can see God.

Therefore, shall we all stand up, raise our hands to thank God who sent His only Son – Jesus to this world (Spiritual Food – both His Flesh and His Blood) to die for each one of us and to create the WAY so that we may join Him in the last day INSIDE the New Jerusalem (God’s Own Resting Place)?

Since God created man with a free choice of their own, the choice is entirely upon each one of us.

The most important issue is “Am I obeying the Father in Heaven?” (see Matthew 7:21-23)

If your answer is “Yes”, do not try to fight the Spiritual War by yourself as the Holy Spirit will guide you as you ask Him, and He will go into your heart and your mind to give you the strength necessary to overcome Satan (the Devil or the evil spirit who rules in this world).  See the Narrow Gate page in web site www.godtoday.org.
