This web site received more than 5,000 hits within the initial 24 hours starting from noon September 11, 2001. Many visitors of this web site asked: Where is God? A similar case happened in 2004 when 229,866 dead or missing due to the Tsunamis followed by earthquakes in Asia. Obviously, most of those web site visitors cared about their present lives in this world much more than their future destines.
Is there a God? If so, is He still in control?
Yes. God is still in control, more than ever. God does not act what man normally can think of as He determines what is to happen by His own decision.
If God is really in control of everything, then, why so many innocent people were killed by various brutal cases?
Before go to the details, lets focus on three major facts:
1) Every man (all human beings regardless of age or gender) must die simply because man sinned; and God does not change His own words (Genesis 2:16-17, 3:1-24).
2) God promises His true believers Eternal Life through Resurrections (Revelation 20 and 21, John 6:37-40, Matthew 7:21, 28:1-10, Ezekiel 39:28, Isaiah 26:19) just as He Himself did (John 14:2-4, 3:13).
3) True followers of Christ (Messiah) must learn and to obey the Words of God as disciples learn and obey their Masters. In this case, Jesus created the WAY Himself for all His true believers to follow. And, there is only ONE WAY (John 14:6).
But, why man must suffer and die in an unexpected way?
The Word of God said that He was NOT the King of this World (John 14:30; 18:36; 17:14, 16 and Matthew 26:53). This world is being contaminated by Satan (the Devil) and controlled by the Devil. He even offered bribes to Jesus when He was a man (Matthew 4:8-9).
According to the Words of God, God came down from heaven and became a man (John 6:38). He can act plurally as He is still in control in heaven meantime when He came down to this world and was born as a man (John 10:30); and for easy understanding, He called Himself the “Son of Man” and the “Son of God”.
As a man, the Words of God (Jesus or the Messiah) defeated Satan (Matthew 4:1-11). God wants His true believers to do the same (Leviticus 11:45, Hebrews 12:14 and 1 Peter 1:15-16). Therefore the Words of God are so important as they are the Spirit and the Life (John 6:63).
Since the world we live in now is the sinful world, man must suffer with tears (Genesis 3:16-19). Only when man entered into God’s Resting Place, the Kingdom of God, the New Jerusalem or heaven, on top of Jacob’s Ladder (Genesis 28:10-15, Hebrews 4:1-11, John 14:2-4, Isaiah 65:17-18, 66:22 and Revelation 21), God will wipe away all tears from man (Revelation 21:4, 7:17, Isaiah 25:8, 65:17-19).
Finally, because God is Love, He created man in His own image (Genesis 1:26). He wants man to Obey Him and to Depend on Him. However, He does let each and every man to make his/her own decision. Therefore, the burden of making a personal decision whether to invite the Words of God and the Holy Spirit into one’s heart (or to let the Devil sneak into one’s heart unnoticed) becomes a choice of every person, not God.
God does not change in His Words and His Promises. His Spring of Water of Life will continue to flow, for ALL those who are thirsty, come and drink, free of charge (Revelation 21:6, 22:17). Amen.
