The Ultimate Promised Land

Canaan (today’s territory of Israel) was the Old Promised Land.

Since no one can perfect the law, God promised to give His people the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34) to save them the Second Time (Isaiah 11:10-11). This time, God would write His New Covenant in the hearts of His people instead of writing on the stone.

The New Promised Land or the Ultimate Promised Land has been given to His people along with the New Covenant. In fact, this Ultimate Promised Land had already been prophesied more than 600 years before the New Covenant came into effect – Isaiah 65:17-19.

I wish to share with you what God showed me the ‘MATCH’ when He said that it is His Own responsibility to send His people to their home in Ezekiel 39:28 NLT (“Then my people will know that I am the Lord their God – responsible for sending them away to exile and responsible for bringing them home, I will leave none of my people behind“). This match is in fact the CENTER of the entire Holy Bible, and it can be found in John 6:37-40:

“Those the Father has given to me will come to me, and I will never reject them. For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do what I want. And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them to eternal life at the last day. For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life – that I should raise them at the last day.” (NLT)

First of all, when God said that He will save His people the Second Time (Isaiah 11:10-11), He did not mean that He will bring His people to the Old and Obsolete promised land of Canaan. The entire world including the Old Promised Land – Canaan will be cremated one day (2 Peter 3:10 -13).

Through the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Luke 22:19-20), God will save His people the Second Time by sending His people to His Ultimate Promised Land – His Own Resting Place (Hebrews 4:1-11, John 14:2-4) – on top of the Ladder (Genesis 28:10-15, John 1:51) – The New Jerusalem (Revelation 21, Isaiah 65:17-18 and 66:22).

God has been preparing this Ultimate Promised Land for His true believers in the past 1984 years (since AD 33), as Jesus told His disciples:

“There are many rooms in my Father’s home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know where I am going and how to get there.” (John 14:2-4 NLT)

God created everything in this world in six days. Imagine how wonderful the Ultimate Promised Land can be as He has been preparing it since 33 A.D.

In one of the major prayers of Jesus before He was being cruxified, He mentioned that both His disciples and Himself do not belong to this world ( John 17:14 , 16). He prayed to God the Father to protect His disciples from the Evil One (the Devil) so that their SPIRITUAL LIFE would remain strong to resist Satan’s temptations. Jesus did not pray to God the Father that the bodies of flesh and blood of His disciples would not be harmed, suffering or die in this world.

In Jeremiah 24, it prophesied about two baskets of figs. The good figs were the people who would go to Babylon . Babylon is the present world we are now living in (Revelation 18). God likes the descendants of Jacob to live in any place all over this world until His coming again. While living in this world, He likes to see that the hearts of His people are right with Him (Romans 2:29), not necessary for them to live in a particular geographic location.

In a single instance, more than 600 descendants of Jacob went to China over 900 years ago (said to be the leftover of the Levi Tribe and they arrived at Kaifeng, Henan Province in about 1040 A.D.). The Emperor in Sung Dynasty welcome them to stay as they agreed to live together with Chinese peacefully. They experienced no major problem or political pressure there. Among this group of descendants of Jacob, there were many famous political leaders. In a period covering approximately 30 generations with many children per family practice in China in those days, the total number of Jacob’s descendants from this group alone far exceeded 50 million. How can today’s territory of Israel ( old days – the territory of Canaan ) accommodate all the descendants of Jacob?

True believers’ of Christ (Messiah) must believe the Words of God fully, respecting the Old Covenant and to understand, also to obey the New Covenant.
